The Cliff House in Cape Neddick is, of course, on a cliff, and every one of their 132 rooms has an amazing ocean view. This is a place that pampers you, from their Cliff Top hot tub to the elegant spa sanctuary.

Scott, who checked us in, offered lots of great suggestions for the many things to do there. At that point, I knew we should have booked for more than one night!

A wonderful family get-a-way planned by our kids found us in a huge home on the ocean at Pine Point in Scarborough. The group included daughter Rebekah, son-in-law Patrick, and grandsons Addison and Vishal (ages 10 and 13), son Joshua, daughter-in-law Kelly and granddaughters Ada and Esme (ages 3 and 5 months) who live in Massachusetts, and daughter Hilary who flew in from Washington  DC.

Sunday River’s Grand Summit Hotel is certainly grand, and it was packed with skiers including many families with kids. Guests were there from all over the northeast, and we even saw three vehicles from Nova Scotia. The views are really spectacular here, and we enjoyed riding up and down the mountain to check out all the inns and restaurants.

This was the fourth time we have stayed at Bridgeton’s Noble House Inn, each time enjoying a different room. Each room has its own personality. The Rugosa room overlooked the large backyard. The Noble room had a four poster bed and was on the second floor. The Pine Forest room looked out at – of course – the forest of pine trees.

Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield is the best place to listen to music in Maine. A gorgeously remodeled barn, originally built in 1886, has seating for just 200 guests and offers an intimate opportunity for musicians to mingle with the audience, plus fantastic acoustics.

From the beautiful and historic booths, salvaged from a southern Maine church, to the wonderful Irish food, Augusta’s Black and Tan has fast become a very popular place since opening last June. Located just above Water Street, Stacey and Chris Shaw’s restaurant was recommended to us by our friends Rocko and Robin Graziano, who accompanied us to dinner there.

You need to get-a-way to this wonderful place!

Reading through the guest book in our suite at Wolf Cove Inn, a wonderful Maine Bed & Breakfast, I find visitors from Texas to Tennessee, California to Colorado to Connecticut, Nevada to North Carolina, and even England, plus folks from our state. Yes, lots of people are finding their way to this very special place in Poland.
